The correct time, of course, to take up a new hobby is when the materials are on sale. ;) Newest obsession: glass painting.

I've had an image in my head for a bit; I'll probably do a lot of tinkering with it until I'm happy with the results. Currently, I feel that the state of my results resembles a small child mucking about with paint, but hey. Maybe I'll improve. (I'll need to get more glass to paint on, though.)

The image will get more refined over time, if I can manage to get it to approach closer to the stuff in my head. I may spend some time tinkering with this one, or I may just go get another piece of glass.

Last night, I dreamed of building igloos. I think I'm allowed.

teinedreugan went out to shovel; note the large dent in the snowfall. Lennon, the one of the cats who Must Always Go Out, tried the whole Going Out thing. He went in up to his chest, and thought better of it.

So this snow that I may have mentioned also got as far down as the Washington, DC area. Which means that my father's interoffice snowball fight actually happened.

The organisers (my father and his normal working partner) were the only members of their division to actually show, but a round dozen or so attended on the IDA side. Among them, the official company photographer . . . .

Okay, I wasn't planning on taking a photo of my stencilling work to share with people until I had enough done that I could take a picture down the hallway that had all the stencilling done, because I'm compulsive about not sharing visibly uncompleted work and all.
