When I say my cat is stupid, I mean things like, he licked my fingers for a while, which is understandable. Then he carefully groomed my laptop, occupied himself briefly grooming my shirt, and then started grooming himself.
I wasn't aware that my computer needed grooming. . . .
My parents' bimbo cat (gorgeous, friendly to strangers, dumb as a very small rock) used to groom my hand. He'd start licking me and move sideways onto my jeans, the chair, etc. without changing tempo. I never could tell if he knew when he switched surfaces or not.
My theory is that Arthur traded in his default allotments of grace, intelligence, and style for extra charisma and a double skill level in precognitive lap occupation.
What a gorgeous pair of pics! Looks like one very contented cat you've got there. One of our cats does an expression much like that when rolled on his back, cradled in one's arms and scritched on the chest.
Aren't cats a delight?
Incidentally, I just showed Mark those pics, and he asked me to note down the url so that he can send it to a friend of his. So your moggy's fame is spreading! [laugh]

I am not sure that his fame will impress him unless it comes with tummy-rubs.
