We have a room we called the mathom room. We put stuff in it.

It was scary in there. it had . . . wallpaper.




As is clear from that image, we took the wallpaper away. Then we painted it. And we put the Other Purple Couch in it.





Yes. That is a lava lamp.

My father's comment on the wallpaper when he visited the house was something like, ". . . it's watching me. . . ."

Heeee... yeah, with that kind of wallpaper I'd have a similar reaction. Bleargh. ;)

And at some point we'll do the master bedroom, which is of the same order of magnitude of scary. And bothers my obsessive-compulsive tendencies, because the rosettes are arranged in a pattern that's hexagonal, but it's not regular.

Gods yes, I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that. I hate going to places that have tile bathroom floors where the tiles aren't properly aligned... I'll sit there and glare at the tiles, and fantasize about ripping them up and putting them in the right way dammit.
