People who don't read alt.poly will probably not have the context for this in its entirety. Short version of the context: the person who emailed me is someone I consider hostile to women, to women like me in particular, and who joined alt.poly under the presumption that the women there would be easy and thus do him.

Long distance to Brooks: Whitney eyes her email. Oh look, Orlando emailed me.
Brooks pages: Email? Well, I suppose that's one way aroung the killfile. What about, dare I ask?
You paged Brooks with 'He wanted to know how my comment about having a penetration fetish differed from enjoying normal sex.'.
Brooks pages: Ah. Well, an explanation of _that_ ought be good for wankoff material, eh?
You paged Brooks with 'Indeed. I am disinclined to respond.'.
You paged Brooks with 'He seems to have forgotten I'm one of the monsters who does d/s.'.
Brooks pages: Yeah. --Heh.
You paged Brooks with 'Which, given my evening, fills me with warm, fuzzy irony.'.
Brooks pages: Though, actually, an explanation of that could very easily avoid being such, unless "I like sex, I'm female, and I'm emailing you about it" counts for him, which on reflection I suppose it does. I mean, one cites the standard definition ("is essentially required for full enjoyment of sex"), observes that the application is obvious, and that this is not true for a number of people. It is a regret that there is nobody useful to send the explanation _to_.
You paged Brooks with 'Indeed.'.
You paged Brooks with 'I may post to LJ about it instead. ;)'.
Brooks pages: And that he posted it in a venue where someone else can't answer it. --Is one thing to do with it, I suppose. If it actually wants explanation to the people who read your LJ and are on the relevant filters. I suppose there are interesting questions somewhat near to the one he asked.
You paged Brooks with 'I was thinking of just making a public post about it, as it's not, y'know, the sort of stuff that goes on the sex/kink filter. Which has very few people on it who would understand the context that is Orlando.'.
Brooks pages: Heh.
You paged Brooks with 'What's hehable about that? ;}'.
Brooks pages: Orlando, intrinsically.
You paged Brooks with 'Oh, indeed. May I quote this conversation at LJ? :}'.
Brooks pages: Yes.
You paged Brooks with 'Makes the whole thing easier.'.
Brooks pages: Indeed.
Long distance to Brooks: Whitney spends some time pondering appropriate userpictures.
Long distance to Brooks: Whitney goes for 'watcher'.

Not only did I know exactly who you were talking about by the time I got to "and who joined alt.poly under the presumption that the women there would be easy and thus do him," I was pretty sure at "the person who emailed me."

Now I will be gratuitously annoyed at his presumptive definition of normal sex. Grump.

I keep thinking of that Dead Alewives sketch about Dungeons and Dragons now: "If there are any girrrrls there, I want to DOOOO them!!"

(Um, I was a longtime alt.poly lurker for about five years, so yes, Orlando makes sense to me, in case you're wondering who this random person is commenting on your journal.)

Oh, dear. He's still there? I haven't read alt.poly in over a year, and I remember that piece of work.

Arrrgh!

Oh, mercy! The post cracked me up in an "oh my gods, what a jerk off" sort of way. But your comment here, about this dilwad coming back around to say "See, aren't you sorry you missed out?" just really about put coffee on the new keyboard.

While I can't say I have ever been poly-anything, goodness knows I have met many of this jerk's ilk. They often think any woman not swathed head to toe and dripping children should be easy enough to "do them". My sincerest sympathies that you need to cope with THIS kind of crap atop the moving and all else in your life just now!

Which, given my evening, fills me with warm, fuzzy irony

*grins*

I think I remember this one. Do you remember way back when I wrote a.p. asking for advice? Someone wrote me a private e-mail claiming that what I needed was another sex-partner of my own and volunteering to assist me. I don't remember who it was (it was deleted rather quickly), but I wonder...

Re: *smiles*

Mostly discussion of theory, not, y'know, practice

*chuckles* Theory or reality, it still made me smile.

*giggle* That twit never gives up, does he? I recommend against replying, since if you do then (based on how he reacted during my brief email correspondence with him) the next step will be him claiming you must fancy him, else why would you reply to his email?

*rolls eyes* Ahh, Orlando. Never have so many stupid utterances been made by one so clueless to the so-very-uninterested.

Yeah, I had that problem too, and I won't reply if he ever sends me anything else.

Ew! I almost responded "Me too" to your comment (was probably interrupted by the sprog). Am now wondering whether I'm glad I didn't, or wish I had (to see if he would dare to e-mail me or not).
