I feel terribly boring and like I don't have anything much to say. Life entirely consumed by house stuff.
On the up side, I took a few minutes and completed a minor thing that I'm doing for me that's been on my to-do list for ages and hadn't gotten around to -- racked the faerie mead and added the jasmine essence. With a little luck that'll unstick the ferment. I also remembered to talk to
eyebrowsmcgee about systematics for a little bit, so more stuff to organise my thoughts on that project. Ordered a book. Stuff. Making space for my damn life in among all this moving shit.
Spent a while rummaging around doing research about freelancing jobs, which was half useful and half extremely frustrating. My finding-things-on-the-web skills are not terribly good.
Need to get the last two rooms of the house finished into showable condition by Saturday. Whee.
Still cranky and overloaded, but doing better. Probably due to getting out of the house Saturday and Monday. Will be out of the house most of the day Thursday, too, having a life and all. Terribly exciting.

Brooks says, "Or else you have this Grecotragical need to laugh in the faces of the Fates?"
Whitney says, "The masked man is, arguably, a hypnotist, but he hadn't shown any interest in messing with the minds of the owners, just one of the performers."
Whitney says, "I am fairly sure that the essential reason is Thematic Arcs. But that doesn't make it not _clumsy writing_."
Brooks says, "Well, yes."
Whitney says, "This has bothered me since I was, like, thirteen."

*snorts* Like I can randomly turn off that part of my brain. I don't think so. They only time that part of my brain turns off is when I'm ... Well. Um. *stops and ponders* Let's call it, "very thoroughly distracted."
