"Pernicious anemia" is a lot of fun to say but it turns out that having it makes me look like a raccoon who lost a hockey fight.

I suspect that one's particularly pernicious because it is not, in origin, a blood problem, but an autoimmune problem of the digestive tract, and thus harder to chase down?

(I had the vitamin deficiency for it under sufficient treatment that my medical lead was like, "... maybe tone down the vitamins your serum level is high?" but that did not make the punched-in-the-face eyebags clear up. HRT made that clear up.)
