And then my brain said "NOPE! you have finished and edited one story today and picked up one you abandoned in October and started to make it have a plot we are DONE we are going to dig up a bunch of random loose ends for
madgastronomer now."
So that's what I did.
Tanya the cabbie (who appears to be feuding with Glisk)
Spider moon party! (set for September, see also https://twitter.com/Catrambo/status/1311175243587710976)
Is Joanna still in town? If not, what's she up to?
How about Thomas's father's visit, is he doing that? Did he? How did it go?
What is Fanferluche up to and is she still gunning for Thomas?
How about the anti-magic cops (the white supremacist and the other one)? When are they gonna hassle someone (probably Danny)?
Is Tanis pissed that we removed the spooky he wanted to pillage from the Underground?
The Blaze House crew: do we get the story of Bella (who abandoned her comics)? More about Ever (illusionist, Glisk's cousin)? The goth girl in the backyard (Suzie)? Danny needs to have an encounter with Cathy but that's interstitial and known.
Isobel owes Yaga a favor
Someone is going to want to do a Hunt sometime and ask us for the Horn
"The nearest steamer trunk to Thomas has a huge padlock on it, and is labeled, "Silas H Beavin, Dept of Natural History, University of Washington"." (we never opened it)
Round robin trades (may have happened in the background): Isobel making gloves for Lucien for a book for Danny (and other books in the long run) who is building an account at the other bookstore with tunes for books for Isobel.
Danny and Sonja were putting together a ballad honoring the Queen and the Stags but I suspect they've been puttering at that in the background; Danny's got a reasonable hand at the poetry end of things
Meanwhile Danny is intermittently yammering on at me about future bits of dialogue and behavior and I have no idea how many of them are actually going to come to pass. (Though I have some hope for the "Could Thomas and Isobel safely convey the magic fiddle home and drop me at this park north of the university" which would have the nice side effect of having the rest of the PCs see the weird collection of stuff he has stashed in 'his' room while letting him go surprise Ezra by turning up when it's not raining. Assuming Ezra isn't tapped for the current quest, but.)
The bit where he keeps singing "Eddie" from RHPS is a little wearing. While fidgeting with the switchblade that the other PCs don't know he has, of course.

Cops have intermittently been hassling Danny, but only regular ones, with the anti-magic cops occasionally lurking behind them, but I'm not ready to have them actually take action yet. Mostly they're trying to provoke a (presumably magical) reaction. The anti-magic cops appear to be waiting for Something. It is occasionally discussed between various people, but no one knows what it is.
Thomas's father Rolf came, stayed a few days, had a number of long private talks with Joanna. They appeared to make peace. Anything else is up in the air. He could only get away for a few days. He's planning on coming back for Thanksgiving.
Joanna stayed through the end of August, but she had some loose ends to tie up from her life in Faerie, so she went off to do that. She's currently with her sister Lucia, and will be back soon. She plans to make a permanent home at Octavius House, but will try to stay out of the way.
Spider party! Yes, that needs to come back. Really, I ought to have done it for August, which is my Spider Season, but we skipped most of August. Since I actually did the work and looked up when all the full moons were in 2020 and wrote them down in my planner, it'll actually be October 1st. Spider Moon is now on the calendar, though.
:D Tanya and Glisk do not get along, no, but it's just a personality clash, no story to it.
Fanferluche has been very quiet.
The Blaze House crew (except Bella; the crew there rotates often enough that they have rules for when stuff left behind is Abandoned, nobody's heard from Bella in quite a while, and I have no particular plans to figure out that story) is definitely coming back, although I think the next one significant is Cathy, if only to get her story about Ezra. Ever will be coming back very soon, though, since Kel has shown up. Maybe we'll even find out what the family drama that Glisk keeps getting so mad about is.
Trades listed are assumed to have happened, and I assume Danny has been playing sets at the bookstore to build credit.
I assume the ballad writing has also been happening in the background. Hell, that may be almost done, it's been like a month since they started. Let me know when Danny wants to present it at Court.
I have a small list of what's in that steamer trunk, and I'm glad you remember that it's there. Somebody will be pleased if it's ever opened. There are also a number of other interesting things in that attic, maybe I'll have a rainy day exploration as a one-shot sometime.
Remind Danny he should learn some sea shanties to make Ezra smile, maybe that'll distract him.

Danny does indeed know some shanties, those are amongst the things one picks up working faire. ;) The previous obsessive earworm was related to one of the groups I'm fond of that does those, but is not itself a shanty. (And it coming up depends on More Danny And Ezra Content Happening. But, you know, Amongst Our Future Dialogue Snippets Are.)
I think Danny's arranged to have a regular set at the bookstore, because being Reliable is Good. And has points in being uninformative to cops. ;)

(She is also generally interested in keeping in regular amiable contact with Blaze House, the various people who work at Magus Books, and so on, in a low-key way, because despite all this Court stuff, she mostly wants to talk to interesting people of all types and learn things. Which I assume is all ticking over in the background until we want to do something interesting with it, but chatting periodically, etc.)

(She is also amiable about helping do meal prep or cleanup if people have a thing that needs doing that's relevant.)

And she can pick up more comic books.
Quirk of Blaze House: Never make toast for someone else. The toaster will produce perfect toast for the user, no matter what it's set on, provided it's for themselves. If they make it for someone else: charcoal.
Furthermore, it turns out that the upside-down staircase at the end of the hallway is an art installation, and not magical.
The basement continues to be full of soap bubbles for no apparent reason. No one has an explanation, everyone just accepts it.

The toast is hilarious. And more comic books are great.
(Isobel is very much a cat person when it's her house, but likes other people's dogs. Prince is a Good Dog, this is excellent.)
