Today's episode of Escape Pod has "A Dragon In Two Parts", which I just described elsewhere as transhumanist wish-fulfillment scifi for furries, trans people, and disabled people.

That's four publications this year, I think: three stories and one poem.

Congratulations! That's lovely, and I kinda want to be friends with your protagonist.

And I'll just be over here in this corner curled up around "passing for human" for awhile.

That one's got some kick to it.

You have commented previously on the importance of Visibility In Fiction, and seeing protagonists who are Shaped Like The Reader. Sam is not quite an exact match to me (nor do i expect them to be), but this still cut more than close enough to the bone that I'm bleeding (in a good way, but still). It is wish-fulfillment, and that's so intensely bittersweet given *helpless gestures at the world* everything.

Nevertheless, thank you. For something (else) i can point at and go "yes. that."

Oh, that was really great. So many excellent details in a short space, among other things.
