Nobody profits from early deliveries but they're used to show newcomers the ropes. Shouldn't get in too deep right then, implication that narrator did somehow. Local area fairly saturated with disease, hard to get out to less constrained space.

Angel that misgenders POV as female is forgiven because of having something (a name? a power of some kind) which can only be given to the debt-free and wanting to give it to them. Knows 'the Axioms' which have something to do with grief and bereavement, of which there are four.

Scattered bits everywhere, alas. Very high concept. Suspect half of it was that artan thought my noir piece was the beginning of something rather than a full story but obviously it is not the beginning of THAT.
