Our mom swears by Ester-C. It's better because it doesn't cause stomach upset and the way it's processed your body gets more good out of it. She can't take anything else. She's converted us to it. When you feel like you're getting a cold or flu, take as much Vitamin C as you can. You know you're taking enough when you get those back-door runs. This boosts your immune system. You'll get well faser. You may not get sick at all. There's some stuff about Ester-C here http://www.kalahealth.com/esterc.htm
My bafflement is induced a great deal by the fact that Vitamin C is another name for ascorbic acid. The concept of a non-acidic acid makes my poor, tired brain hurt.
. . . yah, dictionary.com identifies it as the primary acid in vinegar. Neither of the two vinegar bottles I snagged specified, and I didn't go digging for the others.

I could quote you more while I still have the book entitled "Vitamin C: its Chemistry and Biochemistry", if you want to know :)
