While "Google hangouts" has occasional digitisation mangling the sound which means I am missing half the jokes, I am greatly appreciative of the ability to attend the commitment ceremony of brooksmoses, suzanne, tiger_spot, chinders, and the other one, who isn't on my flist ;) , from a range of some three thousand miles.

We're planning to post a transcript of the vows, um, soon. I'll post about it when we get that sorted out.

I'm so glad you could see it! I only wish we'd thought of the Hangout solution earlier, so that we could have reached a few more of the folks who couldn't make it into town.

For what it's worth, the basement-like location you were seeing was a corner of the theatre set that Cathy's sister is working on; that was her watching from there. (It actually had not even occurred to me that your views would switch between us and all the other people watching, rather than just showing us. Which of course is completely obvious in retrospect!)

Also, Andres is andres_s_p_b. (Edit: Wait, I see Theresa already mentioned that. Ah, well.)

If I recall correctly, the video is supposed to show whichever webcam has the most audio coming from it. I guess the theater must have been noisy.
