From a conversation about the bio I intend to send with an anthology submission, which includes the sentence, "Her fiction has a nasty habit of exploring the experience of the outsider, whether she intends it to or not.":

Brooks pages: You do seem to be consistent that way, a lot.

My humor often is twisted. And I can twist humor of others, too. Saturday, in a little gift store, there was a bowl full of the inspirational resin 'stones' with words inside of them. I bought the first one that hit my eye: it said "eviL." Only after picking it up did I realize it was meant to be read "Live."

I need help, I guess.
