Keas are faaantastic. They should be New Zealand's national bird rather than the kiwi! What would you rather have as your national symbol -- a blind, flightless bird that bumbles around in the dark eating insects, or a parrot with gorgeous plumage that spends its spare time taking things apart, sliding down the snow on hut roofs (they take turns) and having sex?

Bit of a no-brainer, isn't it.
