What is hyssop? Other than a kind of plant - I figured that one out. I know, I could look it up on Google or something, but I figure that you'd give a more interesting description. :)
It's a very strong-smelling mint (though it doesn't really smell like mint-mint); amongst its folklore is that its flowers are pressed in psalm books by elderly European women to keep themselves awake during church. It's popular with bees. It's a bit too pungent for modern tastes, but the Romans made wine from it, and medieval monks (or minks, as I typed that first go) used it as a spice for soup.
As a medicinal herb, it's used for respiratory stuff. Coughs and bronchitis. Modern researchers think it's soothing to the mucous membranes. Some permaculturists thing it drives away cabbage butterflies.
Life with poor impulse control and a digital camera!
Ooo - don't tempt me to dare you. ;) I have poor impulse control and a digital camera, but also a lack of ability to upload pictures in various directions. Meh. I should do something about that one of these days... so I can share my strange pictures with everybody. ;)
I am very very happy with my 'puter and this camera.
Take photo. Plug camera into 'puter. 'Puter pops up window saying, "So did you wanna download stuff or what?" Click 'download stuff'. Pop open picture-edity thing. Render picture smaller. Open another terminal window, go to the saved smallpicture, ftp it over to mindsprung, done! :)

(And you *were* very helpful last night. In case you need convincing of usefulness or anything.)

That is a familiar-looking plant; I suspect that somebody has pointed it out to me as "mint" before. Is that a photo of your plant?
Cool, and thank you for the information. *bow*

Yup, that's my plant. (And one of the rosebushes, and the car Kevin wants to sell.)
