So, for some unspecified reason, my dear husband Kevin seems to have acquired a long skein of smooth, soft, braided rope. This rope has been reduced into a number of segments of lengths in multiples of ten; he intends, he mentions, to get another hundred-footer, as he does not feel that he has sufficient ten-foot sections.
The context under which this intended acquisition was revealed was the sudden departure of the ten-foot length he has, as Lennon (the smart cat) carefully removed it from the couch, drug it out into the hall, and killed it.
Apparently it needed killin'.
This cat toy liberated and restored to its intended status as, uh, people toy, the boys have had to limit their murderous impulses to the twisty thing pulled off a gallon of milk earlier this evening.
