soc.subculture.bondage-bdsm's favorite crazy bint has not only hopped over to alt.religion.wicca.moderated, where she's getting awfully pissy that the Wiccans aren't interested in giving her love spell advice and has demanded that they point her at a religion that is willing to help her, but has cropped up on alt.polyamory.

At least my killfile is still working, as she hasn't name-phased enough for me to lose her. But damnit, ...

This being the person who (after I killfiled her) went off on a rant about how unreasonable it was for someone who was devoutly religious to have both a husband and a master, and what kind of faith would allow that? Clearly I was a liar. Or evil. Or something. I saw most of it in quoted material.

And now she's on alt.poly.

Goddamn.

For a week that started with me feeling like everyone around me thought I was uselessly insane, took a side trip to "Oh, look, I could change trains here for Eatingdisorderville, I didn't know this station was on my line", and has been generally full of frustrations, petty and otherwise, I'm impressed that the world can still find ways to improve it.

Boy howdy, I saw that post on alt.poly and immediately made a mental note to step away from the crazy. Total hooting nutbar, that one.

Hope you start to feel better soon.

It seemed startlingly effective at provoking such a response, yeah.

And entirely not the sort of response one would have gotten from the average troll, which is rather interesting. (I'd have expected the angry railing and name-calling, if anything, rather than the few short declarative sentences. Few actual trolls have capability to be concise. And their expectation that the world will conform to their expectations has ... a different flavor, is I think the closest way I can describe it.)

How did a post/person like that get through the moderator?

Whoooboy.

Also, I'm a little surprised that there are people I know who still use usenet. Brings me back to High School.

I generally think that thunderplonking is overkill, but this sounds like a good case to apply it to.

And how psycho is she? Should you start locking this and your other LJ entries? :(

*sigh* I want nipples that are sensitive to psychic vibrations.

Should tell her that Discordianism is the religion she wants. Preferably, Satanic Scientological Discordianism. Tell her that if she adopts that as her religion, everyone will understand her much better, and they'll stop trying to impede her spiritual and personal progress.

i hadda go catch up on alt.poly just to see who you were talking about, and it was like "holy crap, this is the chick who has been looning about in rec.arts.bodyart recently!"

she certainly seems to have a wide variety of usenet insanity. heh.

From: [identity profile] beth47.livejournal.com

yeah, some usenet kookiness is almost like a case-study, huh. (she seems to change names a lot too, though not email address, that i have seen.)

also: meh. r.a.b mostly isn't worth joining at this point unless one is entertained by vast amounts of back-and-forth stoopids between two men.

yes, it's literally almost *entirely* posts by two guys who seem to enjoy endless amounts of flaming each other, taunting one another, and calling new creative names. there are extremely rare occasional scatterings of posts by people whose opinions i respect. oh yes, and there's also Ms. I'm-So-Important-I-Actually-DO-Own-This-Newsgroup, as well.
[rolling eyes so hard they fall out of head and across floor]

(ooh, and don't ya dare refer to it as a "tat" or she and several of her lackeys will attempt to mock you right offa usenet. see, they're LEET, doncha know. ah, to be one of the Cool Kids. [snicker])

[smirky face and replaces eyeballs just in time to roll 'em again]

(i'm working on getting my eleventh tattoo done as soon as i can find the suitable artist to do the work. so, the condescension that i posted about on my recent LJ post, in the email from what's her name... well, it was just funny to me.)

(i have lurked in that group for years upon years, and have posted once in awhile, though not for a long long time. one of the people i respect most on usenet still does post there, but i'd say there are only, hm. two people left on that group whose opinions mean a thing to me, maybe.)

(yay parentheses! i should go get some sleep. yeesh.)

I know this sounds horrible, but . . . can I quote everything from "excommunicated" on? Because that's just fun to read.

She has a kid?

I ... wish I didn't know that, almost. I hope she's less crazy in person, though I doubt it.

From: [identity profile] ruth-lawrence.livejournal.com

I haven't seen her, but have her killfiled.

My newreader is Bwoken though.

From: [identity profile] circuit-four.livejournal.com

And now she's on alt.poly.

I originally skimmed that as "alt.pity." Sounds pretty appropriate. ;)

Killfiles are your friend. Times like this are *exactly* what they're for. Anyway, she's demonstrated herself to be comprehensively loopy enough that I doubt many a.p-ers will take her seriously henceforth, so I wouldn't worry too much about missing any interesting convo if you add her to the Bozo Bin. :-7

The PGP thing, if consistent, will probably help cut down on well-meaning replies. It's very convenient when people with annoying content make it difficult to read.

I'm trying to decide if this is incentive or disincentive for catching up on my Usenet reading. I think it's both, which means it might get done.

(Damn the obsession with 'must read stuff')
