Had one of those nasty shock things Monday night which pretty much took me out of commission mentally for a while, as I kept breaking down in tears. And the thing is ... it wasn't a bad thing, per se, just ... a hell of a shock. And lousy timing, because [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan is out of town and [livejournal.com profile] arawen isn't available on Tuesdays in general and was particularly not so yesterday.

So very not a good thing to come across while alone.

So I've basically hidden in Dwarf Fortress for the last few days. My second fortress was wiped out by goblins, so my third is being constructed out of raw paranoia.

[livejournal.com profile] arawen is here tonight, though, and held me a bit after he nudged me out of my preoccupied madness. I am entertained by just how much of a sub I am; he claims that the results of his scrambling my brains are cute.

I need to redye my hair badly. For so many reasons.

Bed soon. Important snuggling to be had.

Just before waking up this morning, I had a very vivid little dreamlette that I was poking around a New Age toy store, and found a bottle of - essential oil, I think (though the directions implied that it was infused honey, and one should eat a spoonful daily in tea or cereal?), created with two extracts (only specified as "Blessings" and "Blissony", the latter of which cracks me up because it's straight from Discworld), according to an "ancient Egyptian recipie", which is apparantly supposed to act like super-ginseng, by giving one energy, mental clarity, creativity, and suchlike. I wanted some very much, but the shampoo-sized bottle was an alarming (and remarkably consistent, for my dreams) $64, and I wasn't able to find a smaller bottle, or the individiual extract/oils/whatever needed to make it myself.

... I'm not sure why I'm sharing all this with you, except that the whole Egyptian thing made me think of you. :)
