I got a strawberry before the squirrels did.

Mmmmmm. . . .strawberry. Unlike most other edible bits of plant matter, strawberries don't make my mouth and throat swell up.

Our strawberry -- and there was but the one, and it was small -- seems to have disappeared, however. And I think it's the squirrels' fault.
