So the phone company said "Well, it's not a problem with our system, we can get someone out next week and fix it for $110."

[livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan said "Mutter mutter growl" and called Charlie Feeney.

Charlie called back at about six pm. And fixed it tonight.

For $50.

Hail Charlie Feeney.

We love Charlie Feeney. He makes our electrical all work right, and he doesn't charge us an arm and a leg to do it.

Sometimes I think the phone companies charge insane prices for service calls to encourage people to fix it themselves.

It's probably cheaper if they don't have to pay someone and provide benefits for folks making housecalls.
