And thus, y'know, cranky.
Little man came around yesterday to inspect the modem and confirm that it is, in fact, b0rken. Despite being a repairman sort, he was unprepared for this eventuality. Apparently giving us a new modem is outside the expectations of what repair people should be equipped to do.
So we wait for the damn thing to ship. The ticket didn't get booted over there properly.
But they called us to let us know the problem was resolved! So that makes it all okay!
Mmph.

arawen protected me.) Met badseed1980. Met other people too, including one whose LJ handle I have apparently entirely misremembered, since no variant I can think of is actually an LJ.
Tomorrow there may be modem. Also will be dinner out and concert. So, thingy.
