. . . Ancient Egyptian Science Volume II: Calendars, Clocks, and Astronomy is making my brain ooze painfully out of my ears. I clearly need to get some more general material under my belt before dealing with this, which is excessively referential to stuff I haven't read any of.

After talking to [livejournal.com profile] tiassa last night about the vagaries of oatmeal, have picked up some light cream to try doing some with in the crockpot. Though I'll be riffing off something that one of the people brought to the last Feri training session for first use of crockpot instead. (Vegan food that a) I could eat and b) found satisfied my appetite. Though I won't be making it vegan, because I want to use up some of my stash of stock. And it gives me the opportunity to tease [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan about tomatoes.)

I should make notes on stuff to write for the website. I have been either reminded of or inspired for three separate essays for it in the past twenty-four hours.

Have done one and a half loads of laundry so far (#1 needs to be migrated out of the dryer so #2 can go in, basically) which is digging me out from under my backlog and thus vastly improving the emotional resiliency. Unfortunately, a factor of ten improvement on null doesn't go very far, but if I keep multiplying my infinitesimals by increasingly larger numbers I may get somewhere.
