Today was much with the parent-herding; not my parents, [livejournal.com profile] whispercricket's. I'm exhausted. Fortunately, no poly-drama erupted, thus, filed as success, if one that left me with a residual headache.

Nice early bedtime now. Was up way too early to clear the house for people-who-want-to-look-at-house. More people-who-want-to-look-at-house tomorrow, too. Maybe some of these people-who-want-to-look-at-house will want-to-buy-house and then we can start redirecting our stress entirely towards finding-new-house and buying-new-house.

Why is it that stuff I keep wanting to write about generally keeps coming out too personal? Meh.

Sleeeeeep.
A stray poll thread in IMHO on the SDMB (if that makes no sense to you, translate it as 'a particular subforum of a message board [livejournal.com profile] lilairen reads' and it'll be fine) was asking about how many sexual partners people had had.

I what the helled and posted my stats, because I'm the world's most boring nonmonogamous person ever, and I say I'm the most boring nonmonogamous person ever in my original post to the thread. The thread goes on, and a few people express skepticism about numbers, and the original poster says, more or less, "Hey, come on people, it's not like we're going to tell your spouse."

I pointed out that my husband reads the board, but my boyfriend doesn't, not that either of them doesn't know this stuff.

Get a reply (from someone else) of, "Um... what? A husband and a boyfriend- do either of them know about the other?"

I'm not surprised by the "Um, what?", really, as that's not uncommon to being out, but the question ... presumes I'm not only the sort of unethical betraying asshole who would conceal important relationships from important people, but so stupid I'd expose myself in a post where I was pointing out that it was possible my husband might read the thread.

I discovered that [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan had not caught up on LJ and thus had missed my previous post, and thus explained it to him in summary with the usual gesticulations and snarky comments. The following exchange ensued:

[livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan: I love you.
    Me: I love you too.
[livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan: I laugh at your jokes!
Me: You giggle manically at my ranting. There is a difference. ... not always a large difference, but ....
    [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan: True.
Me: You seemed to particularly like "If he'd taken his two neurons out and rubbed them together vigorously ..."
    [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan: Yes.

Now, if I had a good photo of [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan and me being, y'know, [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan and me, I'd use it as an icon for this post. I do not, however; this should be fixed. Ohhh, people with cameras ....
