Things to blow up.

• My basement stairs door.
  
• The second to last step in the basement stairs.
  
• Verizon technicians in theory (for showing up on Wednesday after telling us they'd show on Thursday, in a timeframe where I was asleep, and not showing up on Thursday when teinedreugan took the day off) (in practice, despite showing up at 8:15 on Friday, they were amiable fellows who agreed that our house was wired by monkeys if we were lucky)
  
• The monkeys who wired the house.
  
• Mildew.
  
• The monkeys who did the basement in general.
  
• Whatever it was that I drove into my heel.
  
• Possibly my lower back. Still undecided on that one. While it would loosen it up, it might be a little excessive for that purpose.
  

Taking a fucking shower and going to bed. Dealing with strangers in my home is not what I needed to be doing in my current state of emotional fragility, even if they were polite.

I parse this as "Greece insists that Olympic athletes will not be allowed to have foreign armed gods, unlike heads of state."

I think I blame this on iced_spice, who was writing about pagans and war a few entries below that . . . (Also, apparently at least part of my brain is reading in a Boston accent, because otherwise that substitution makes no damn sense.)
