Still busy.

Went to see the third Matrix movie this afternoon with teinedreugan, keshwyn, jikharra, arawen, and whispercricket this afternoon. Met autumnesquirrel and a few folks who I don't believe have LJs for dinner afters. Went to Yorq and hung out, tried to take a picture of the eclipse, failed, played a game in which jikharra kicked my ass (and teinedreugan's too), sat around in large piles of people and had a Foot Fetish Festival of sorts. Badger badger badger.

So that was the day.

Came home, caught up on usenet, temple board, SDMB, and LJ. Wrote 1118 words, which is all of section 49. And not a bad level of output for someone who has had a horrible screaming headache all evening.

My requirement for November (write something every day) is met. My bonus-points thing for it has also been met (try to beat my average daily wordcount for November each day) has also been met; my goal for that purpose bumps from 757 today to 802 for tomorrow. (Which I probably won't make unless I do two sections, since tomorrow's an even.)

My exploding head and I are going to bed now.

Congrats on the wordcount! And commisserations on the headache, I know *exactly* how that feels. :( I hope you feel better tomorrow.

So how was the Matrix? I haven't rented Reloaded yet, hope to soon.

Sleep and Tylenol seem to have repaired it. At least for now. (I've had recurring-sinus-headacheness all week, so who knows about later.)

I liked it; I thought it was a good and appropriate ending to the trilogy. (I will see if I find the second one better knowing what it's feeding into; it had serious second-book-in-trilogy issues.)

I think that the point promised by the first movie was that we have no way of knowing what is real. It was all about mind games and wondering who is a reliable informant and "Who is Number One?" and all that. There were so many ways they could have ended the story and still left the important twistiness in place. But they chose the most straightforward and everything-resolved way of finishing it, a reboot ending. I was seriously disappointed.

There were even lots of ways that they could have had Neo end up as the spoilered spoiler and still left us with questions about what the machines were supposed to be getting from humans and which reality was real and if there were other layers and all, instead of just dull answers.
