Jury duty tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. (I truly hope not lengthily, since
brooksmoses will be here Wednesday.)
Terribly, terribly amused by the
efwing of the Throllop Collective on rasfc.
Note to self: get bottles of cyser together to bring to games night by tomorrow evening, get them into car.
Bleh, need to be at courthouse at 8:30, bleh.

However, if I recall correctly, if you don't get picked for a jury, that's it, they won't harrass you endlessly for years, you are considered to have served just by virtue of having got round Massachusetts's lamentable lack of public transit outside the immediate Boston area.

Hooray for commuter rail. (The courthouse was basically right across a rotary from the commuter rail, which made the whole, 'Okay, I guess I'll . . . take the train home?' aspect of the thing muchly less fraught.)

Last time I was called for jury duty, I was living in Quincy, which is better transitised than here. However, the courthouse I was called to was in Dedham, which isn't. (I had the place I was serving changed to Quincy on that one. :P )
