Book order placed. A couple things recommended to me on the subject of gods, the aforementioned book on container water gardens, and this -- is it not utterly nifty? (erispope, it's a potions book.)

Today is for housework, I think. The upstairs rug needs vacuumed. Dishwasher needs unloading. I should bottle the birthday presents for my father and brooksmoses's brother (and taste them -- good stuff, with heat!). And call my father, for that matter, it being his birthday. Nnnr. Prep the corks to bottle the rest of the mead. I should also put "remember to eat" on this list, since teinedreugan's out late.

My books probably won't be here before I go to Cali. Sniffle.

Maybe I'll even get work done. Or while away the evening doing research on how to build fish tanks.

Jasmine! Does it smell like... jasmine?

A friend of mine grows orchids in her greenhouse/painting studio, and has been teasing us all with the prospect of an Orchid Blooming party, but is distracted with upcoming tenure review, Human Relations, etc, so I don't know that it is going to happen. I'm dying to get into her...uh...plants.

Glad to hear that snakie ate. It's downright distressing when they go on those months-long fasts. Make's 'em cranky too, eh?

It does indeed smell like jasmine. A huge amount of scent for a little tiny flower, too. I wonder what it'll be like when the rest of the buds go.

I'm dying to get into her...uh...plants.

I'm glad he didn't decide to go on one of those fasts. I know the royal pythons are famous for them, but he's been such a good snakie so far. A half-week sulk I can deal with okay. (And it does mean teinedreugan will only have to feed him once while I'm away.)
