My favorite ex-boyfriend's birthday is today. (Well, today as in my time, as opposed to in his.)
I dropped him the regularly scheduled email. And got back the yearly perplexity about when my birthday is.
This is warm and fuzzy and quite traditional.
It's good to be easily amused and to make little rituals.
