I said hey, let's see if I can send out one thing a week, on average. Both as a nudge to keep writing to prompts, and to remind me to send out things again after rejections.

Stats as of the moment are:

9 submissions since 1 January
4 rejections since 1 January
11 stories currently in submission (ETA: okay 10 stories 1 poem)
1 story recorded in the Submission Grinder not in submission, because I have an R&R on it that I agree with and have not done the R.

Also it is really hard to write cover letters with small people yelling in my ear. My audio language processing is not that good, kids, you are completely BSODing the brainsystem.

Oh hey the bat icons have an amusing 'busy' backdrop.

Hurrah for exceeding your resolution!

At work, two of the developers and both project managers have small children who are completely indifferent to whether or not their parents are video conferencing. It's amusing.

I imagine it's a lot less amusing for the parents, much as it doesn't sound amusing at all for you. I shall hope the small children get better at boundaries apace.

This is impressive! I used to have trouble writing cover letters with only the occasional cat yelling in my ear. (I still would, I expect, but I'm not writing and sending out short stories all the time any more -- they really aren't my strong point.)
