We took the kids to a gathering at the impending preschool, where they played very hard. There was a climbing arch - came I guess to about the bottom of my breastbone - and KJ went over it, smoothly swapping directions at the peak, and then FM climbed up and over and, well, I spotted her so she didn't fall on her head.
whispercricket: This child really wants to be in gymnastics. Or rock climbing. Gymnastics. Ninja training, I don't know.

Somewhat more seriously, if you start them early they have such an advantage! I can still do at 36 some of the things I did as a kid, but struggle with the things I never tried until my 20's and 30's.

To add to other people's suggestions:
There is also rock climbing in Woburn, which may be more convenient to you than MetroRock. I hear there's a new climbing gym opening in Union Square, too, which would be an option (in addition to MetroRock) if you're visiting folks hereabouts.
There is also an aikido dojo in Union, but aikido's more of a regular-lessons thing, and that commute would be a bear. Likewise for the circus arts school in Porter and the aerial silks studio near Inman.
Once children-of-friends reach an age where they can understand safety awareness, I'll be happy to teach them some simple partner acrobatics.
