House of the Lyorn

Lyorn are the recordkeepers of the empire, and have preserved many old languages and books which would otherwise have fallen into neglect. Lyorn are known for being very traditional and concerned with propriety. However, they are not simply a House of librarians and secretaries. Lyorn warriors are trained to fight barehanded, and their skill is such that they are not permitted to duel members of the House who have not been trained. Lyorn are generally levelheaded, upright, and good at understanding others, which makes them fair rulers and good advisers.
