Petits fours assembled, mostly. Should not have let [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan steal some ganache, though I cannot say I regret having to eat the last one as insufficiently sealed to make it to Wednesday....

It has been very busy. Because of the plan to go down to the city during the day on Wednesday, we have spent chunks of the last while buying a stroller. Which had me doing a bunch of research, and then [livejournal.com profile] whispercricket doing a bunch of much more skilled research, and then visiting a couple of showrooms full of strollers to play with things and see how they folded and how heavy they were. The one that was best for me, KJ hated, so we went with the second-best one, which she was mmmmoderately okay with so long as she could see us, and much happier with when put in in a familiar environment like home. (We have stashed her in it for a bit so she could acclimate to the new thing - somewhat anxiously because she was screaming every time we put her in any stroller at all in the stores, after a bit. She responded by attempting to eat the straps and bouncing up and down vigorously to make it move until we put the brake on.)

This morning, after being up way too late because of not scraping together the tuits to make the cake for the petits fours earlier, I was up early for an herbalist appointment, to serve as a stunt patient for an advanced class of students. For the investment of a couple of hours and having my tongue inspected and so on, I have a couple of bottles of tinctures. More on that later if I generate spoons.

After that was D&D. We have a cave troll.

Then I did a bunch of booksorting, and then the petits fours.

Now I go take my herbs, a painkiller, a shower, and (I hope) a good night's sleep.

I totally envy you actual tea party; it's been a complaint of mine for the last few months that when I go out to such things people think I'm protesting the government and augh no. So I think that that's pretty much the perfect response.

My preferred counter-protest would be to dress up in bad native american garb and dump the mislocated partiers in the harbor where they belong. Because really, if there's going to be the kind of Boston-located protest against "corrupt governments" they're actually trying to do there either needs to be dumping unnecessary things in the harbor or massacre by British Regulars.

Actually, that second option looks more and more attractive, but sadly unlikely.

Barring that, the actual gathering for tea is silly, but also likely to be broadly misunderstood, unless someone happens to get the attention of news people with some sense of humor and the general costumed tea makers questioned articulate enough to put forth good response.
