The combination of morning sickness nausea and the sort of queasiness induced by a nasty head cold is unspeakably horrible. I will not speak of it.

I see my docs again Monday for the retinal business...

...but I'm so sick. I keep sneezing and wondering when I'm going to screw something up worse. I totally sympathize.

All the times I got pregnant, I couldn't tell if it was morning sickness or post-nasal nausea. All of 'em.

Advice: get lots and lots of rest. I mean, like, LOTS. Stuffiness is normal, but so is having a somewhat suppressed immune system, which makes you more susceptible to catching virii. C caught a very nasty respiratory bug from our son, and now she has a middle ear infection and double pneumonia, and is very limited in what she can take to treat them. She's improving, but has been out of work and recuperating for two weeks, and probably will be until sometime next week. So...I'm sure you know this, but please do take extra good care of yourself.

Oh yes, the nasties. I am so sorry and I hope you feel better soon.

I wasn't aware you were expecting. Congrats!

Oh, yes. Yes indeed. That is indeed a bad combination.

Sudafed and never having an empty stomach help somewhat, as I recall.

I feel ya.

Mine's a head cold. The only good part is that being completely stuffed up meant cessation of my Super Smell Sense for the first time in months, which is a relief, of one kind, at expense of many other kinds of comfort.

I am hating missing out on so much this weekend. And I hate having zero energy.

*sigh*

Ugh.

I wish I had advice on the morning sickness part.

So not related to this post:

I have added (re-added?) you to my friends' list due to having met [livejournal.com profile] arawen and [livejournal.com profile] whispercricket (and turtle!) today, which involved dim sum, the fact that they live in the same town as I do, and that [livejournal.com profile] metahacker has been trying to get us all to meet for a year and a half now (due to location and to thinking we'd get along).

And there was much brain breakage when they mentioned connection with you (after they used the name I know you by, from alt.poly a few years ago), and I was reminded that I rather enjoyed our varied conversations on a.p, and so I have returned. :) (I have no reason/expectation that you will know who I am, since I can't recall how well I remembered to _use_ this nick on a.p; and I think we may have met once. Maybe twice. So no worries if you do not have any idea who this strange person leaving you a long comment is. ;)

*amused* That's a connection! ;)

And no worries, re remembering. :)

That does sound like a particularly icky combination.

I missed that you were pregnant. Congratulations!
