I think ... maybe ... I'm starting to clear through the horrible draining exhaustion that going into therapy was, and get my feet back under me. I'm no longer spending the entire week recovering emotionally from the therapy session, at least, even if I do find myself late on Monday nights going, "Aw, shit, tomorrow's Tuesday." And I've been dealing with shrink long enough that she has ... a lot of relevant backstory, basically, and so I don't have to footnote every-damn-thing. Footnoting is exhausting.

I don't know if this means I'll catch up on back email at all, but it does mean that there's hope of it.

None of this 'coping better with therapy' thing means that yesterday didn't stink on ice, mind, but on the upside I was brought chopsticks at the restaurant I go to after having headshrinkage without having to ask for them. This was, yes, the luminous high point of Tuesday. (Mind, that was a real high point, I'm not being sarcastic.)

[livejournal.com profile] arawen commissioned a traditionally keyhole-shaped menat counterweight for me, which means I'm doing serious looking at beads rather than just buying shiny [livejournal.com profile] botmo. I am going to do a lot of this off 'buy a twenty-dollar string of' assembled stuff, because a menat takes approximately a fuckton of beads, but that way I can space it out to my budget and still actually get it started. I'm thinking I'll have a few thematic strands in there, but mostly just beadsbeadsbeads (of thematically appropriate nature, natch). Today [livejournal.com profile] arawen wanted to run some errands which brought us through Michael's, so I wound up snagged on the sale beads rack. Which had cheap-ass lapis. I stared at it and had the little voice in my head go, "You are not getting cheap-ass calcite-laden lapis for this." So I got some Interesting things instead -- two kinds of glass, some golden shells, and some utterly entrancing moonstones that look like they're glowing.

I'm in a terribly weird and complicated headspace that I'm not sure I'm able to talk about usefully. But I live. And have shiny things. And got a bunch of books catalogued today. And, y'know, various other useful things.

Tomorrow we supposedly get a plumber to replace our faucets. This will be exciting too.

"You're not alone in dealing with this" was something worth saying.

Almost always, especially on items frequently met with quiet.
