Today was much with the parent-herding; not my parents, [livejournal.com profile] whispercricket's. I'm exhausted. Fortunately, no poly-drama erupted, thus, filed as success, if one that left me with a residual headache.

Nice early bedtime now. Was up way too early to clear the house for people-who-want-to-look-at-house. More people-who-want-to-look-at-house tomorrow, too. Maybe some of these people-who-want-to-look-at-house will want-to-buy-house and then we can start redirecting our stress entirely towards finding-new-house and buying-new-house.

Why is it that stuff I keep wanting to write about generally keeps coming out too personal? Meh.

Sleeeeeep.

I wouldn't be surprised if we wind up putting our life in storage units and crashing at some combination of friends and/or partners' places while finalising wherever we wind up going to.

Sounds like a good plan if that's possible. I'm all for putting in a big effort before moving in; but then, I know that once moved in, I'll get used to whatever, so things will stall.

Friend of mine purchased a "major project" four years ago. He and partner moved in right away, and have been living in a construction site since. There's always a currently-inhabitable part of the site. it just changes all the time. All the construction work is DIY. Oh, and they gone and had a baby twice during that time.

I don't think I'd have survived.
