So I didn't get in at the beginning of that AV game.

I just left it.

It's been going for eleven hours.

It's still not over. (Which means my primary purpose in playing -- getting the token for the game -- was foiled. And I lose the bits of bonus honor I actually managed to get.)

My secondary purpose (not losing sergeant rank) should be maintained with my 1800+ honorable kills, however. (Previous lifetime total: 1996, I think.)

I left the game because I am so tired I am likely to shoot myself in the foot.

Also, I ran out of arrows.

That's after restocking mid-battle.

Yeah, that's the big problem with AV, if both sides are moderately competent, it goes on for EVER.

HK is misleading. It's actually Honor or Contribution Points that determines rank (actually, it's Rating that determines rank, but there's no way to check Rating in the game).

The problem with AV is diminishing returns. Killing the same player repeatedly eventually gets you to a point where that player gives zero honor for a kill. So you only get Honor for about the first 200 HK in an AV game, assuming it's the same 40-man opposition throughout. Although, if the game proceeds long enough, the DR timer can reset, and you'll get more credits.

AV games are bad for Honor. AB or WSG is better for rank, because of the bonus honor rewards for each victory. AV has the best faction rewards, though, for a lot of classes.

One of these millenia I'll get into one of the PVP instances, but that whole 'sit around for at least an hour until a space opens' thing really kills my buzz on it.
