Back from trip

Last night, actually, but went to bed right afters.

Brief summary: managed to spend time with vectorvillain, sstaten, and dirtydianadd. (And I don't think I've seen dirtydianadd for a decade, so that was awfully cool.) Failed to manage hooking up with laurelinde, lady_and_lion, and my brother.

Gave my father random presents, including the book and magazine from keshwyn and jikharra's steamer trunk. Further, we took photographs. :)

Fair was good, though very soggy. It's interesting to go back into the familiar space there. Did not manage to find Bliss (from the Bawdy Balladeers), unfortunately. Saw the Pyrates Royale perform, the O'Danny Girls (though they were short a sister), and a fellow doing a lengthy improv rendition of "Roll Your Leg Over". Got to one joust; the human chess game was cancelled on Saturday and rendered meta on Sunday (the former due to mud, the latter due to injury).

Got the thing that keshwyn asked me to pick up, and also a stamped coin pendant for myself (winged scarab and spiralling star image, which seems to sum up my religious situation these days). Also interesting bindi-like-thing on a chain (convertable to necklace) that is very shiny, and a doumbek. A lovely doumbek with tile-patterned body, much like this one. Drummmmmm.

Very good trip. Amusing conversation on the way home, too. ;)
