My father has (in theory, at least) dropped the land-line and is using internet telephony; I called him today in part to test this. If the land-line is busy, it eventually rings through to his lady friend's cellphone. (And if that goes unanswered, to his cellphone.) This led to some bafflement on everyone's part this evening, but eventually I chatted with Dad for about an hour on his lady friend's phone. Sure, works, but hail Eris anyway. We spent some time contemplating how the signal was getting there, in a spooky-action-at-a-distance way.
Meanwhile, dyeing the tips of my hair blue turns it dark yellow-brown. Doing a half-assed bleach job with stuff around the house strips the blue dye out, leaving it red. At this point, I am going to go sit in the corner and make little whimpery noises of incomprehension.
I am not even going to go into my deep crogglement about bullpen management; I was only paying enough attention to the game and the commentary thereupon to know that not only was I confused, but half the internet (at least those parts that were paying attention) was also confused. They won the game in the end, at least.
I hate blank pages and thus the process of starting new chapters. 230 words, but I may know where I'm going from here.
Moment of Zen:
