Thud plus misc.

So I had a dream in which I had an interesting idea for a short story. And I wandered around in the dream muttering, "It's a short story idea! I never get short story ideas. . ." Then I woke up.

Amazingly enough, I remembered the short story idea.

And it was still a good idea when I was awake. Which is probably the most remarkable part of it.

So I wrote it. About 1700 words. It needs a title, but aside from that, it's done.


In other news, brightened jikharra's universe mildly by pointing him at a game that davidgoldfarb told me about in response to a tangential comment I made off something that brooksmoses posted to rasfc. I find this delightfully tangential.


There was other content once upon a time, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

That is delightfully tangential, indeed -- and I'm glad that, however tenuously and tangentially, I was able to lead to a small brightening of your day by enabling you to brighten someone else's.

I look forward to reading the story this weekend when I've got time to peer at it, too.
