"But it makes me lovable!" He filled a pot and put it on the stove.

"Fortunately. Elsewise we'd have throttled you years ago and hung you from the catwalks as a warning to others. Where's a measuring cup?"

"Drawer to the left of the sink, o gruesome one. Second one down, under the silverware."

She set the margarine down on the counter and looked for the rest of the tools. "It's not terribly gruesome without crows."

"It would be a bit hard on the theater."

"We could do Phantom of the Opera until we decided to cut you down."

They then got into a discussion of their mutual best friend (the other part of the 'we' in question), specifically that he would be an excellent Phantom, as he does passionate intensity edging into insane genius quite well.
