Definitely overextended myself last night. Should probably have bailed on movie-going too, for all that I thought that going out and sitting down a while wouldn't be that much more stressful on my system than not going out and sitting down for a while. Today has been awful.

Did laundry.

Discovered that hunters kick all kinds of ass on defense in the Capture the Flag PVP instance on Warcraft. Acquired the personal animosity of a warlock in the process, to my vast amusement.

Tired and cranky on the phone and not much in the mood for talking due to this whole throat-through-a-meat-grinder issue with the voice.

Failed to find the notebook containing my notes for this story. Nonetheless, 1440 words, plus copying about 8600 words previously written into a new file and tweaking mildly.

We went to see Howl's. I enjoyed it, but I definitely need to read the book on which it's based; there were a number of places where there was translation problem of type, 'Clearly this would make much more sense if I could read the exposition that was in the novel'. (Like what ardaniel referred to as 'the sudden appearance of Prince Exposition at the end.')

But I shall borrow the book from keshwyn, so that is all okay.

I wonder if it is partly a Japanese thing. In Ringu, suddenly the ex-husband reveals he has psychic powers, and no one bats an eyelash. Um, hello? (a) that came out of nowhere, and (b) how does that not merit a reaction? Granted, pretty freaky things have already happened, but geeze, woman, this is your ex-husband!

That's the sort of thing where I'd want to watch it again sometime to see if there were clues I missed. Or if it was just some sort of non sequitur.
