So. [livejournal.com profile] erispope is visiting, and I am Mightily Distracted and stuff.

We went to games on Thursday, and she learned to play Hand and Foot and discussed anime with [livejournal.com profile] iresprite, who is Very Frightening when he goes into supercharged fanboy mode. (Also, WTF, [livejournal.com profile] iresprite, I'm older than you (according to your LJ info)? Bafflesome.) Spent large portions of the evening mind-possessed by [livejournal.com profile] montrealais's visual pun userpicture.

Friday, uh. We probably did something. Oh, right. We woke up rested, which was damn weird. Had plans to get into town which fell through due to mighty doziness, so [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan came home to get us and we went and got pizza and to play Semtek, and [livejournal.com profile] erispope lurked amiably in the background. Thiara is apparently shifting alignments on me, which is fascinating to observe. She is also very, very tired of killing things.

Lazed about much of today (semi-literally, when [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan got home from class I curled up on him and we had a nice nap with occasional cats). Went downtown, had dinner at Fire & Ice (I had a strange drink that I think needed a little less mint for my taste), hit Harnett's for the latest henna offering for Big Red, wandered through Pandemonium and Newbury Comics and Tokyo Kid (and got a late birthday present for the pseudoniece, so [livejournal.com profile] meranthi and [livejournal.com profile] thastygliax should consider themselves warned) and some music (some money from which will be used to build schools in Afganistan) and misc watchables. Failed to find Ghost in the Shell in Blockbuster, perhaps because it was the worst-stocked Blockbuster any of us had seen in rather a while. Stomped around on Thunderhorn in mad PVP, including going to Crossroads because the invasion there was closer to our level and thus not ending in us just being, y'know, other people's heads-taken count. [livejournal.com profile] erispope did her usual PVP thing and started a rave. ;)

Tomorrow plan is to do more random bathstuff huntage, possibly hit the MFA in search of bas jars that I can inspect, prowl around, maybe do an instance run. Assuming we wake up in time.

Meanwhile, hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] erispope has been usually amiable. She continues with my intermittent girliness lessons. [ Links for relevant powders included for my reference: Amphigory, Bare Esscentuals, True Colors. ] Also we have discussed sources for peacock feathers. And, of course, faffed about.

. . . Amphigory has an eyeshadow called 'Braaains'.

. . . and my stupid cat is apparently stuck to the couch.

Very cool. (: Sounds like fun. I haven't done any serious pottery at all.

Y'all actually mounted a fairly impressive defense of Tarren Mill last night. We got thrown all the way back to Southshore a couple times, and we never did get inside the town itself.

And I found out one way that a tank is actually useful in large-scale PvP fights. I think I must've had like 20 Deathguards wailing on me at one point.

Also, Lobster Brood definately managed to get the revenge for the sacking of Tarren Mill. A few of their high-levels managed to deathmarch Lord Kazzak all the way from Blasted Lands to Stormwind Keep. There were more skels on the ground in the SW Cathedral than there were over in Hillsbrad. It took a GM to get him out of there, finally.

(I made it to 60, yay!)

I definately got hit with CL a few times. One of them very well might've been yours. (I came in late, though, it would've been like 4am over yonder when I got to TM).

I also suicide-charged a few times. Partly just to get *something* going, instead of the standoff, and partly just to see how long I could stand up against that sort of onslaught.

D'oh! I totally forgot I was supposed to make a hordeling. Yeah, I can do that. I'll create him later today.

On the brightside, it appeared that the Battle of Hillsbrad wasn't breaking people's ability to quest, anymore. I heard that right after patch they were fully camping the town, for hours.

The masses have figured out that guards and NPCs don't count. So the battle was rolling back and forth over the hills. (Plus, nobody wanted to get close enough to trigger guard spam. PvP much harder when you have an extra 10-15 Deathguards trying to do you harm.)

I put your Hap on friendslist.

I didn't play him past about 6, though. Wanted to play the main, still. Got massively destroyed by Dire Maul, though. Not fun. I hate forced-group content, because I just don't have enough tolerance for Random Idiots. So I'm kinda burnt on him right now. Maybe play hordeling more in the next couple days.

Gratz 36!

We have a winner! I created a Tauren Warrior named Voren who would be happy to sign your charter. (I can't promise I'll play him much, but it's another name on the list, if nothing else.)

At least one of us should be at game night each of the next few weeks. Curious about what you got her...

Re: [livejournal.com profile] iresprite: He is hard to carbon-date, isn't he? ;-) I have a slight advantage there: I worked at the college he attended.

*lurks all the way back here*

Of course you're older than me. What made you think otherwise? And how old did you think I was?
