Misanthropy . . . rising.

Hate people. Hate people who can't read. Hate people who assemble lying insults trivially demonstrable to be not based in facts. Not to mention the vague threats. And the complete inability to read, did I mention that? I particularly like the making legal threats after reading my comments pointing out that there is no legal obligation involved (though clearly due to complete inability to read, I shouldn't expect comprehension from the fact that the person saw my name attached to a post).

No longer shaking so hard that I can't read the screen due to having vertical hold issues on my eyeballs.

Not sure it will help so much as reaching through the internet to rip the stupid from the palpitating remnants of my foes, leaving behind a thin, trailing wisp of humanity, devoid of its driving force. Unfortunately, my skills are not so high that I have the capacity to render human stupidity for its tallow and make candles of it to brighten my life. At least, not at range.

Hate people.

Not so fond of dogs either.

http://www.journalfen.net/community/otf_wank/206045.html You got it in one. This is the week for wanks in which people I know are tangentially involved-- you're on SMDB, [livejournal.com profile] cavefelem is an EGL and that community was wanked, and another friend was mixed up in an anime wank.

BTW, NFP annoyed me again. This is also apparently the week for Stupid Pagan Forum Wanks, what with the wank you reference, and both NFP and [livejournal.com profile] pagan both afloat in dramaramaramarama. I've been a good girl and have been staying out of it, but someone played the "is Satanism Pagan?" card.

Stupid people.

I just read most of the Cauldron thread, and my first reaction is complete bafflement at some of the you-got-THAT-from-THAT? connections people are making. Like the saving the dog=pro-animal-rights thing. And then I stumbled over this comment by Jennett:

And, likewise, just because I have specific commitments to other human beings doesn't mean I have non-negotiated commitments to *all* human beings.

I'm just going to sit here for a while and fangirl that comment. :) I also think that if the question was "would you save your spouse, or a stranger?" it would be no contest for a *lot* of these "you have a commitment to human society" people. If you have a concept of pack/tribe, it either includes animals or it doesn't, but I don't get how it's *wrong* one way or the other. And if you don't think in pack/tribe terms, that's fine, that just makes that person different from me. So what? And why do I need to be a vegetarian to save my dog/cat? I don't eat my family members!

BTW, I also love your Ravenclawing of the thread, inserting some much-needed practicality. Were you one of the folks who would dissent with the basis of mathematics word problems? ;) (But WHY would someone take the train from Boston to San Francisco in the first place? It's much simpler to fly...) I drove my teachers buggy doing that, but *everything* matters, even in a hypothetical question.
