[ I am not sure if this is the right userpic for this. I am also not sure if it is the wrong one. Diagnostics are a little flaky. Clearly filtered through Darkhawk, in any case. ]

There is too much stuff in my head fighting for my attention and cognitive capacity; a fair fraction of it is moderately stressful, and doesn't have a place to go. The net effect of this is, as always, that none of it gets done, and I wind up in a strange state of personal dissolution.

The organisation I've been doing lately has helped some -- it's kept me from completely losing a grip on things that need done in portions of externality -- but the internal life is not in a productive state that I'm unable to articulate. It's not chaotic so much as trying to run too many processes simultaneously, and thus being unable to run anything.

So, as always, we need more RAM.

Got some snuggle time with [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan today, which I'd been not getting anywhere near enough of; that helps with some of the processing. And talked about some of the other stuff, a little, but much of it is stuff that i really need to talk about with [livejournal.com profile] brooksmoses, and so talking about it with [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan isn't even really a palliative.

Made some progress on various things -- I now have an application that puts the current moonphase on my menubar, have ordered a formal shamanic drumming recording so as to practice trancework and see if I can work through the difficulties I have, and got distracted by a very shiny calendar problem that serves no practical purpose (which can give me the current date in a handful of calendars, including four Hindu ones). I should note this down so I don't mark today as spent entirely on wheel-spinning.

Must remember to talk to [livejournal.com profile] ibnfirnas about Hesychasm. (Noting word here so I retain it.)

There is a very large amount of snow out there. It is a great deal warmer than it was, though; it broke sixty in the living room a few hours ago. The projected high temperature is N/A on weather.com again, but instead of 'N/A' for the little weather symbol we've got 'Blizzard'.

[ Interjection from Weaver: The moon is currently at 87.163% illumination. I find this knowledge fascinating. And if I look at the dropdown again it'll be more. It's out there somewhere, behind the storm; the world continues in its cycles beyond the snow. Chaos is local. ]

Hmm. I was about to recommend David Allen's book Getting Things Done as a source of systems for handling the internal fight for attention, but then it occurred to me that it is geared to organising things by the setting in which they need to be done, and with internal stuff, there may not be a specific setting for any of it. I hope you find something that works for you.
