A fellow who was married in New Paltz, New York thirteen years ago is sarcastic and angry at the Social Security Administration and the State of New York.

An article razzing the Democratic Party leadership for abandoning the left. About fucking time someone noticed.

And someone points out a bunch of little issues with this whole "privatizing Social Security" foofaraw, like the increased costs and it not actually keeping retirees off the dole . . .

Apparently, many fewer people think the United States is threatened with imminent terrorist attack than a year ago, but 44% think that the rights of Muslims should be restricted, while 48% do not. Why is this even this close to even? Will downloading the PDFs of the full reports make me want to throttle things or make me feel better than the spin wants me to? I'm afraid to find out.

Still haven't decided whether I'm up to heading downtown to peer at the Flea tomorrow. Which has, much to my amusement and moderate crogglement, apparently evolved into something pretty much like a con. Complete with party floor in the hotel. Mighty is the case of the giggles that comes about in pondering this. Must check the MBTA schedule.

Hey, I'm glad it worked! I think they got more potent being wrapped up-

The woman who created that particular mixture of herbs claims that it "cured" her son of asthma, meaning that he uses it daily and he has no symptoms.

I really like the smell a lot- I hope it isn't so strong that it dissolves your head! :)

Thus far, Arthur (the stupid cat) has come up to investigate the tin and gone sniffle-*ears ratchet back* sniffle-*ears ratchet back* sniffle-*ears ratchet back* sniffle-*ears ratchet back* until his ears couldn't go back any further, at which point he broke and ran away.

And Lennon (the smart cat) came over to sniff at it, but it was like his nose couldn't go any closer than four inches away from it. He was bouncing off its aura or something. ;)

Good grief. I hope one of the New Paltz couples does go for mandamus proceedings or similar - that's just ridiculous, and may make some straight people who are currently neutral more inclined to oppose gay marriage in their state, lest their own marriages not be recognised elsewhere.

On the civil liberties issue, note that no single measure has support above the mid-twenties, though that's bad enough.
