She's out of surgery all right. She liked her surgeon a great deal, which apparently make the process a lot less awful than it might otherwise have been. She's in a fair amount of pain, but has codeine; it turns out that she was allergic to the medical tape that was holding her together post-surgery, so she's currently wrapped up in an ace bandage that she's going to have to keep with for a few days.
Apparently she's not going to know whether or not the lump was cancerous for another week -- the quick biopsy test doesn't work well on fatty tissue, so they have to do something more complicated and unexplained. The surgeon apparently said that it didn't look too bad, though.
We talked politics and a few other things. And chocolate. She's found the fudge cake recipe, which means that there will be, sometime after the beginning of the year, Secret Family Fudge Cake. I may make it for my birthday and bring it to games. Or I may make it sooner than that and bring it to games, because a whole month would be so long to wait.

She probably will want to take a few days before doing lunch-or-something, but I don't see why writing to her would be an imposition. If she doesn't feel like answering her email she probably won't check it. ;)
