The only thing I wonder with that story... had he been driving a Geo Metro instead of a Lexus SUV, would the pedestrian be more or less likely to assume the driver was on the phone finding out their child was in the hospital instead of "babbling" and "getting phone sex?" Not that it justifies it even if they were, but... a near-miss on a pedestrian and they ran *two* red lights? They were either the apex of asshattery, or something was seriously wrong.
