There's something incredibly soothing, somehow, about seeing one's father show up on the Internet, nearly 15 years after he died. Even if the whole thing would have completely befuzzled him.
Must remember to bug Mom for copies when I'm home. I miss his translation style. (One of the things I found, and which is the first hit on scholar.google.com, if you do "Peter D. [my last name]" is a translation comparison as a PDF, if you're curious.)
I am vaguely disturbed to note that not only does my father's name show up in scholar.google.com (unsurprising), my own name does as well. Who knew papers from summer projects post-sophomore year would go on the internet one day?
I've seen some fairly straight-forward designs for inkle looms. They're for making belts more than blankets, but they look very elegant and tidy and put-away-able from pictures.
