I don't think I have any business expressing my political positions without the capability to back 'em up. So while I've been doing research for news articles, organisations, and analyses that do that. And I'm trying to be comprehensive, right, go through everything that I have an opinion worth expressing on and gathering supporting data.

This is driving us nuts. I can't do it for more than fifteen minutes at a time without getting angry or depressed or sick or wondering why I'm going through all the hits on a Google news search for "Russian soldier bayonet baby" and evaluating the results for comprehensibility and factual data content, why not just pick one and stop gnawing on it.

People who do serious political blogging impress me. I'm going to get through this, though, because I've sunk my teeth into the problem and I'm going to worry it to death. It'll make me cold and sarcastic and cutting and very, very angry for a while, but I will finish it.

iTunes make laugh at us lots.

And we would all go down together . . .

Are you really trying to research everything you have an opinion on all at once before you say anything? No wonder it's driving you nuts.

You know what I almost did? I almost gave you a lecture on trimming your research down to the smallest possible unit and reading for context after but only writing about one little thing at a time. That would be condescending, but since my intention wasn't to do that, I did catch myself. It was a reflex. Apologies for even thinking of it.
