Ahoy local folks.

A good friend of mine from high school -- larksdream -- just got a job in Cambridge and will be moving to the area. Therefore, she's looking for an apartment.

She's looking for a place fairly near where she'll be working that allows dogs, has at least on-street parking, washer/dryer in the building, near a park (small is okay). She's posted more detailed stuff to her journal. I'm guessing Somerville is probably the best shot, here. She's hoping to find something by August.

Does anyone know off the tops of their heads how common it is for triple-deckers to allow pets? Also, I know a few people have been looking at the local market, though mostly for houses -- I'd really appreciate it if anyone who stumbles across something plausible could drop her or me a line about it.

There have been a number of ads on b0st0n (the b0st0n community, if the link doesn't come out right) about housing, and I think there was a discussion about renting with pets, although I didn't pay very close attention.

I'll keep my ear to the ground on CarolingiaNet, I keep seeing appartment postings going by and if I run into one, I'll let you know.

qarylla is moving as of August 1st. But I don't know if they allow pets. No fenced yard, but near a park. We can check, if you like.
