(In case anyone was unaware.)

He has, as before mentioned, an orifice fixation; he keeps trying to crawl into any narrow space. Today, [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan was tinkering with the sound system and miscellaneous other stuff (because our multi-region PAL-enabled DVD player arrived, thereby enabling the possibility of Dangermouse DVDs). First Lennon wanted to help (I have a picture of this, but haven't snagged it off the camera), then Arthur climbed up into the space between the television and the cabinet.

Then he realised that he couldn't do anything while back there because there's not terribly much maneuvering space, especially for a sixteen-pound tabby.

Then he realsied that 'not much maneuvering space' meant 'can't figure out how to turn around'.

So he backed up. And got semi-stuck. And backed up a little more firmly. And ran out of cabinet ledge, so he fell out onto his ass.

See? My cat is an idiot.

(The orifice fixation has its uses, though. While working in bed earlier, I figured out how to keep him from lying down on my chest, keyboard, or forearms; I draped a sheet over my knees, thereby creating a cave, and he crawled in through the gap, curled up, and took a nap.)

Section 177: 179 words. Reason for stopping: splitting headache.

ROFLMAO!! As the mom of another very dumb kitty, I laughed my head off at this. ;)

That was so funny- but sadly sort of reminds me of myself when I have to get behind the TV cabinet... I pull it out from the wall, but I never pull it out enough b/c I figure the long arms and legs can help me reach what I need to reach- then I forget about the large horizontal obstruction on my chest. I guess that's more laziness though...:)
